treeviewThe gross GST collection in November was Rs 1.46 lakh crore, up 11% over the previous month’s collection of Rs 1.31 lakh crore. It was, however, marginally lower than the October festival-season collection of Rs 1.52 lakh crore. This is the ninth month in a row that revenue has exceeded Rs 1.4 lakh crore. The collection in September of this year was also slightly higher, at Rs 1.48 lakh crore.
Himachal’s contribution dropped dramatically in November, from Rs 784 crore in October to Rs 672 crore in September. In November of the previous year, it was Rs 762 crore.
The collection from Punjab dipped to Rs 1,669 crore in November, down from Rs 1,760 crore in October and Rs 1,710 crore in September.
It dipped to Rs 6,769 crore in Haryana from a high of Rs 7,662 crore in October and Rs 7,403 crore in September.
Delhi’s intake fell to Rs 4,566 crore, down from Rs 4,670 crore in October and Rs 4,741 crore in September.
The collection in Chandigarh declined somewhat to Rs 175 crore from Rs 203 crore in October and Rs 206 crore in September. J&K collection increased marginally to Rs 430 crore, up from Rs 425 crore in October and Rs 428 crore in September.
Imports generate 20% more revenue.
The November GST collection was the lowest since August.
The mop-up was aided by a 20% increase in revenue from goods imports and an 8% increase in revenue from domestic transactions.
