CBIC announces GST Rate Changes for Goods Effective July 18th

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has notified the GST rate revisions based on the GST Council meeting last month in Chandigarh.

The Board has issued many notifications to implement the GST Council’s recommendations on adjustments in GST Rates for Goods and Services. These modifications will take effect on July 18, 2022.

The GST Council’s 47th meeting was presided over by Union Finance & Corporate Affairs Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, was held in Chandigarh on the 28th and 29th of June 2022, and increased the GST Rate on Various Goods and Services including Knives with cutting blades, serrated or not (including pruning knives), other than knives of heading 8208, and blades, Spoons, forks, ladles, skimmers, cake-server These notices will become effective on July 18, 2022.
